Professional skills are a strategic resource used to achieve the performance objectives of any organization. Skills arise from knowledge, practical experience and behaviours, for which training becomes the ideal path to promote the professional growth of the worker. How to measure and evaluate the result of a training course? In terms of certification and professional quality achieved, what formal recognition does the worker acquire by attending a training course?
Europe establishes two methods of certification:
- the qualification issued by Training Institutions;
- the certification issued by Certification Bodies.
In Italy, the Maintenance field follows the provisions of the European Standard UNI EN 15628 “qualification of maintenance personnel” and the Product Certification Regulations by the CICPND body and approved by ACCREDIA.
With these tools, it is possible to establish similar qualification and
certification paths according to standards shared by the training institutions and agree on common criteria for the training goals setting and the contents necessary to raise the core skills.
The “Maintenance & Training” Section, a force for Maintenance skills development
Since the beginning, A.I.MAN. has been working to bring the Culture of Maintenance to Italy. With the recent birth of the “Maintenance & Training” Section, the importance that qualification and certification acquire in the skills development matter, both national and European, is therefore recognized. Furthermore, the lines of intervention and the actions to be pursued are defined to make A.I.MAN. an important meeting point between the quality of the demand and the innovation of the response for maintenance 4.0.
The “Training Section” is not a Body with specific training activities aimed at the reference Market, but rather is a national reference point for in-depth analysis of maintenance issues, which aims to become the provider of a consultancy and training support service that may apply to Institutions and Organizations in charge of training and certification.
